What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10, 10r or 14-gauge scalpel, with a number three blade handle. It gently scrapes off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. It also eliminates the peach fuzz (vellus hair) that cakes up in makeup leaving the surface very smooth. Dermaplaning removes surface debris from the skin with custom dermaplaning blades.
How long does the treatment take and what is the average cost in a salon environment?
Upon completing a short consultation, you should allow around one hour for an appointment. This time should reduce once you become more experienced; however always check product development time as per manufactures guide. Average salon cost for this treatment is £35 – £60 per treatment.
