In the nine years since we have been open as an academy we have had some fantastic achievements. Here are just a few of things we have accomplished in the past four years.
March 2017
Opened the Bella Marie Salon in Seaham
September 2017
Opened our first training facility as an extension to the salon in Seaham
March 2019
Opened our Sunderland training academy
We spoke at Hope XChange in Sunderland at their International Women’s Day Event
July 2019
Extended our seaham venue to provide even more training space and welcome more learners
Made the decision to turn our salon into a student salon to allow learners to gain experience working in a salon environment to progress their professional career.
We attended England’s national hair & beauty awards
September 2019
Hosted a student recognitions ball to celebrate our students and over 100 attended!
March 2020
We won an ward for training academy of the year in the North East Prestige Awards, which recognise small business achievements.
April 2020
Launched our brand new online courses to support our learners and to continue to provide training during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.
March 2021
Two years running now, we have won training academy of the year in the North East England Prestige Awards.
April 2021
Announced brand new VTCT education and training courses, plus salon management and expanded our VTCT beauty courses
Started our fully funded courses at Roseby Road Community Centre in Horden
May 2021
Announced our next expansion and new site at Seaham Marlborough
June 2021
Got involved with the Government Kickstart programme and introducing 4 brand new roles to support our academies.
July 2021
Won the award for Best Hair & Makeup Training School in the North East in the Corporate Visions Awards! – 2021 Winners
As an academy we have been going from strength to strength and are looking forward to seeing what else we can achieve in the future. Our focus is to grow the academy even more and provide the best training and support to all our students. We are constantly looking at what new courses we can bring to the Academy; in fact we have new VTCT courses launching in September. Expanding our reach to people and giving back to the community is important to us. Currently we are working towards bringing more funded courses to those who are unemployed to help start them on a new career. Plus we are in the process expanding the Academy further two brand new sites coming in September 2021. This means a broader range of availability for all our courses and more space to provide more training!
