Qualification Overview

This VTCT qualification in Level 3 beauty therapy general, in an international recognised qualification. By gaining this substantial vocational qualification, you are enhancing your career as a beauty therapist. It will enable you to work in salons, department stores, cruise ships, training establishments and mobile.

It will be a one day course running for 28 weeks and the following days are available to choose from:

Advanced learning loan pre-requisites to qualify:

Learners must be 19 years old on the first day of the course. However, there is no upper age limit.
You need to be living in the UK or have lived in the UK, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man for the past three years.
You need to be enrolling on an eligible course at Level 3 and above.
A national insurance number, a valid passport OR original birth certificate is required for enrollment.

Am I Eligible?

You need to be 19+ and hold a Level 2 beauty qualification or equivalent industry experience to sign up to the course.

Who is it for?

For those looking to enhance their career in the beauty industry. We are also offer progression onto other VTCT courses. This includes Level 3 Nail Technology, Level 3 Beauty Massage and Level 4 Salon Management.

What will I learn?

The course is comprised of a number units. They will cover the necessary practical and theoretical skills to provide a range of beauty therapy treatments. These include:

Facial and body electrical
Body Massage
Electrical Epilation Treatments
Eyelash Extensions
Female Intimate Waxing
Health and Safety

You will be given more information on all the units at your training.

How will I learn?

The qualification is delivered through a blended learning approach. This is a combination of traditional classroom teaching and online learning/independent study.

Classroom – Full day sessions to begin each unit

Independent study – Reading and research with remote tutor support. (Recommended self-study of 8/10 hours per week)

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of, practical assessments, multiple choice theory exams, evidence portfolio and a workbook. 90% attendance is required to pass the course due to the intensity and course length. Missing days of the course without catching up may result in failure to pass the qualification.

How much is it?

The awarding body is VTCT.

Can you apply for a loan more than once?

Yes you can apply for more than one Advanced Learning Loans for different qualifications. You can apply up to a total of four loans. However, as you are entering into a student loan in which you have to pay back, we never advise to enrol on more than one course at a time. These are extensive courses which require a lot of work and commitment. We would recommend completing one before starting another.
