Course benefits and progression route

Eyelash extensions have become increasingly popular over the years. The application of individual lashes onto the lash line creates a fuller, natural-looking effect and enhances the appearance of the eyes; a long-lasting solution for your clients. You are not tied into using any particular brand of lashes, until you are knowledgeable and able to decide on the best products for you and your clients.

This is a cost effective service to offer, with clients returning regularly for re-application/maintenance treatments every 2-3 weeks.

Other courses you may be interested in are Lash Lift and Russian Lashes, however you need a minimum of three months experience of Semi-permanent to be able to progress to Russian Lashes.

What are Eyelash Extensions?
Semi-permanent individual eyelash extensions are attached one by one to each of your own natural eyelashes. They are applied with a glue, to your eyelash, not to your skin. Eyelash extensions come in different lengths, thicknesses, styles, and brands. We believe it’s great as a newly qualified technician to try a range of brands to see which you prefer and what will work best for your clients. Your client will help you select the style of lash they would like, based on how bold or natural, the look is they are trying to achieve. This can be done during your consultation.
How long does the treatment take and what is the average cost in a salon environment?
Upon completing a short consultation, you should allow around two hours for an appointment, however this time should reduce once you become more experienced. Lash infill appointments should take around one hour. The average cost of a new eyelash extension appointment is usually between £35 – £50 per set. This price can all depend on brand used, lash technicians experience, and where the salon is based. Infill appointments are usually priced from £20 upwards, with many lash technicians varying their prices depending on the length of time since the first application.
Will the lashes damage a client’s natural lashes?
Should your client stick to the aftercare advice, as well as the correct removal procedure, and they are applied by a fully qualified technician, then natural lashes should not be damaged.
